My goal for this project is to parallel this migration with the real monarch migration. The students in my class are raising larva now. Once the monarch butterflies come we will release them in our butterfly garden. I think this symbolic journey is a way for my students to track what is happening to the actual butterflies that we release. I am very excited about the connection to geography and the correspondence with other schools.
