My ESOL students and I planted a butterfly garden at my school last year. I have travelled to mexico 3 times to see the monarch sanctuaries and i wanted my (mostly mexican) students to participate. i teach all about monarchs and the migration process as a thematic unit to help them acquire english and develop their technology skills. i did this with another class (about 5 years ago with a different email address) and it was a wonderful experience.
