Saw my first adult of the year!! A male resting on a tree. Then. an hour later and a few miles East of Newcastle, in Bremen (coastal), another adult nectaring. In the Bremen field I also saw a late instar monarch caterpillar. So it looks like migration is not happening for all in Maine yet. I saw many fewer caterpillars and adults this summer in Maine compared to past years.
