Hi-we are seeing more groups of butterflies passing on the playground. Our classroom is flying-literally as we have hatched and tagged almost 20 butterflies( 283 RW through 299 RW ) and released serveral without tags too....We are predicting a cold front to come through by weekend and are hoping to have all butterflies hatched and released by Friday!!!!!!
The students have observed many newly hatched butterflies and have been amazed how they pump fluid from their abdomens to the wings WOW!!!! We are sad to see the end the Migration season coming.
