Date: 09/26/2002

Number: 1

Tuesday evening 9/24/02 about 75 to 90 monarch were seen clinging to one of our maple trees out back. Earlier in the day it was a glorious sight when out back in the butterfly beds there were monarchs every were you looked. At one point we counted 13 monarchs and 4 swallowtails on one verbena bonariensis plant. The temp was about 71 degrees. It was a magnificent sight. I can not wait to get my photos back.
