Monarch PEAK Migration

Date: 09/21/2002

Number: 1

Sorry, I'm late, my system has been down. On Sat., Sept. 21,while out and about and while on a 60 mile round trip road trip I counted over 35 monarchs, They were about 20 to 40 yards up, drifting &/or fluttering southward.
On Thurs., Sept. 26, while hiking at Burr Oak Woods Conservation Nature Center with third graders, we counted over 10 Monarchs necturing on the prairy flowers.
The Temperatures this week have been in the low 80's and morning and evening air in the 60's, with cool breezes, absolutely gorgeous!
