Monarch PEAK Migration

Date: 10/02/2002

Number: 1

About 17 Monarchs today - This is more than I have seen all summer and fall combined! It is unseasonably warm today with a high of 80 degrees expected. All of the butterflies were spotted as I was driveing South from Plainfield, NH to Charlestown, NH on route 12A - A distance of about 30 miles. This route follows the Connecticut river that is a natural migration route for birds of prey and other creaturres.
