Monarch (OTHER Observations)

Date: 10/10/2002

Number: 1

There are very few monarchs passing through this area. I only see singles, usually crossing the highway. I startled one out of a autumn olive bush last nite going back to check the butterfly roosts. Haven't seen group of them yet this year.
There was an old faded one hanging around my porch garden for several days this week. This garden has proved to be a good attraction for them. That freeze in Mexico this past winter must've affected the East Coast Monarchs badly.
