Our soil was rocky and hard. Digging was much more difficult than we had planned. Students planted their gardens in rectangular arrays after they finished digging. Each student also created a map of the garden and the location of his/her bulb. One class also created an experimental garden with bulbs planted sideways, upside down, too deep, too close, and too shallow. We can't wait to see what comes up in the spring.
