On October 18th at 11am we planted our tulip bulbs. The weather was sunny and 70 degrees. We have had quite a lot of rain so it was a challenge to find a dry day for planting. We chose two sites for our bulbs, one with northern exposure and the other southern. One squirrel has already tried to unearth our labors, we'll probably have to chicken wire tomorrow!The children enjoyed digging up the soil but were challenged with Tennesee clay when trying for the 7inch mark. Needless to say we were all ready for lunch after our gardening experience! (No Monarchs were seen during our morning adventure)
