Monarch (OTHER Observations)

Date: 10/22/2002

Number: 1

On Oct. 21, four students reported seeing four monarchs in our school's garden. On Oct. 22, two students and I caught a male monarch feeding on a flower in the garden. We released it after six minutes. We know it was a monarch because it had a lighter color under its wings. We also know it was a male because he had scent glands on his lower set of wings.
