Finally, after some uncooperative (rainy) weather postponed our earlier attempts to plant our bulbs, we accomplished our goal on Tuesday, Oct. 29. The bulbs were planted in the courtyard of Downey School. Some children also wanted to experiment with planting a few bulbs upside down, a few that we had cut in half to observe, and also one child removed the seed embryo from one bulb to also plant. We also planted a few in deep shade and semi-shade. Can't wait to see what happens!
