Our third grade students planted their red emperor tulip bulbs, gardening in groups of 4, during the week of Oct 14, 2002. All bulbs were safely in the ground by Friday, Oct 18, 2002. The children planted them following a grid, 10ft x 8ft, labeling each child's bulb with a popcycle stick marker.
We have not had our first frost here in Cambridge as of 10/31/02.
