Tulips PLANTED

Date: 10/08/2002

Number: 1

Our students are planting tulip bulbs on the only day of rain that we have had for over one month. In Council, we had an early cold snap. The ground remained frozen for about two weeks. We really welcomed the storms coming in from the Pacific Ocean, but knew we had to scramble to get the bulbs into the ground before the first snow. Today is mild, in the high 60's, compared to the mornings we just had last week of 12 degrees. We are glad once again to be in this project. It is a steady reminder to me that some of our weather patterns are changing.
