Monarch (OTHER Observations)

Date: 11/14/2002

Number: 1

Today we were coming in from our fire drill at school and my student, Tyler, found a monarch butterfly in our butterfly garden. It had just come out of it's cocoon. We let it crawl all over our hands. We brought it inside to look at it through magnifying glasses. Another student, Christopher, led the way back outside with the butterfly on his hand and it flew back into the garden. We had a prayer for the butterfly to have a safe trip to Mexico.
