Our 5th grade class, the Hickory Room at Belle Sherman Elementary, planted our tulips on 11/20. Each of us planted 1 bulb just like we did last year. Our plot is on a west facing slope near where the buses load and unload. Before we planted the bulbs, we weighed and measured them. The range of weights was from 24 g to 43 g and the range in circumference was from 12 cm to 15 cm.
It was a warm and sunny day and about 50 degrees -one of the nicest days in the last few weeks. We have had snow on the ground many days already. Will last year's tulips come up before or after our new ones?
