Since we have a fairly warm winter climate, we refrigerated our bulbs for a month. Before planting we measured the circumference of our bulbs. The range was from 113 mm to 145 mm. Most of our bulbs were between 120-139 mm. We also weighed our bulbs. The range was between 19 and 35 grams. Most of our bulbs were 25 grams or less in weight. We also sketched our bulbs before planting them. It was a warm and sunny afternoon. We haven't had much rain so we watered our bulbs well. We covered the planter box with a squirrel guard since they find tulip bulbs a tasty treat.
