Tulips PLANTED

Date: 12/10/2002

Number: 1

We planted 50 red emperor bulbs between two 5th grade classes. Some of the kids did this in 3rd, 4th and now 5th grade, so they were pretty excited and this spread to the others. Children were discussing their ideas about how well the bulbs will weather the winter. The optomists seem to outnumber the pessimists by a large margin! We'll begin plotting the other classes when the reports come our way. Our first snow to stick was today, so we planted just in time to have a nice white covering over our bed this morning.
