This is very unusual...There are an over abundance of Robins hanging out in my Maple tree. I have counted well over ten. I usually see a few in the Spring, but certainly not this early in the winter with 6 inches of snow on the ground?? I do have about 7 Holly trees in my backyard that are filled with berries. They seem to be attracted to the berries..
