In my yard in my small town, a male red-bellied woodpecker ate suet at the suet feeder. They seem to only come this far north in winter, so it's not really a sign of spring. But we will watch to see if we have a breeding pair, still very unusual this far north.

Also, the chickadees started their mating calls the same day!
