It is finally winter here. We had very cold weather, our first hard freeze, last week. That brings us robins! Since our ground does not freeze, robins over-winter here. There have been robins here for three weeks now, with the large flocks arriving last week with the cold front. My students were outside in our mature sanctuary doing observations, and there were robins everywhere.
