This morning we heard a robin singing in our holly tree.It is early but it was singing alright. Just the one, and just for that one day. The huge flock hung around for two days and now they have left. I’ve never heard a Robin sing so early. Maybe the two warm days we had confused them, or maybe that was just one Robin who was hopeful. I even discussed it with our facilities manager Bob who is a fellow birder and he went out and listened to it, and agreed it was singing. The rest of the flock was just doing the usual chitter chatter that Robin’s do. I wonder if the El Nino in some way has confused the wildlife.
