Robin (WAVE seen)

Date: 01/13/2003

Number: 1

I live in the country around Beebe Arkansas and have seen Robins since January 13th in my yard. Mostly in the evenings but occasionally in the mornings. I never saw just one. In fact I heard them before I saw them. Most have been in groups of 30 to 50. The mornings that I've seen them they were in groups of 10 to 20.

This last weekend, being warm, we drove up to north central Arkansas (around the Buffalo National River) and saw robins in most yards in the country and a few in the little towns.

Sunday we broke our garden for the first time this year and the tiller goes down about 6 inches. We did dig up one earthworm. After tilling the garden, a flock of 30 robins flew in and investigated our work. The last two evening I have been throwing raisins out in the grassy area that I've seen robins for them to eat since I've learned they like raisins. I hope to continue to do this.
