Robin (WAVE seen)

Date: 02/01/2003

Number: 1

Last Saturday morning, before dawn, I heard a robin in a large hawthorne outside my door. As morning light came, I saw at least forty and perhaps as many as fifty robins join the solitary one in the hawthorne. They created hovoc with the hawthorne berries! And nearly stripped clean the berries that were on the tree. The flock soon left the tree en masse, and landed in a nearby oak. From there, they went in different directions. Some scatched and dug in the leaf mold in the garden beds. Others splashed in a puddle on a broken sidewalk. I have since come home everyday to see simmilar sized groups of robins, until last night at 4:00 my son and I pulled into our drive to count perhaps 60 or more robins in the hawthorne! ap
