Approximately 1000 Monarchs at a time roost on our property at the south end of Morro Bay in Los Osos. This is down from last year's 3500 to 5000 and substantially lower tha the 35000 to 50000 that we saw in the mid 1990s. They roost in eucalyptus trees approximately one quarter mile from the bay.
