Bald Eagle

Date: 02/09/2003

Number: 1

Went back to Pueblo Reservior on Saturday. Spotted 11 adult bald eagles total. In the am, two were perched on the East side of the dam and soon took off and soared west. On the north side, we saw seven adults and two first year juvenile. Two of the adults had wings outstretched as they perched in an effort to warm their wings (?). These two stayed on one perch for nearly threee-four hours. Another three sat across the lake from them and merely looked around. Two juveniles and one adult perched, took off and soared and perched again. Another two were actively preening themselves while perched. Sunny,25degrees,
