We have had robins that never left Maine! One robin has been fiercely guarding our berry tree from starlings and waxwings all winter long. Occasionally a second or third robin will join in, but the one robin we identify by certain white feathers, and has been consistently seen. It has been a very cold winter in Maine; we can't help thinking that this robin must regret his/her choice to stay!
