On 02/09/03 I had approx 10-15 Robins feeding on earthworms underneath Oak Trees. This began at approx. 2 p.m.,during a steady rain shower with the temperatures dropping down to the mid 60's. The day before there was a report in the Tampa Tribune regarding robins over-wintering in Plant City, Florida due to a late harvest date of the local strawberry crops. It seems the birds are eating every berry in site,(much to the frustration of the local farmers). Today (2/11/03) at 5:45 P.M. in North Tampa, I watched as a flock of approx. 50 to 100 robins headed on a N.W. course 1 hour before dusk. I hope this information is of value.
