First Purple Martins.

Because I live in the south, many categories from Journy North do not apply to my area. For instance, robins migrate here in the winter. From early December through late Februrary you could not walk outdoors for five minutes without seeing a hundred robins. Also, we have Red-winged blackbirds and some orioles here all year.

So I do my best in this "Other Signs Of Spring" category. If I walk out my door and DON'T see a Robin, that would be a sign of spring for me.
