Robins on Salt Spring Island BC Canada

Dawn has advanced by about ten minutes since last week. I walked about 7.5 km in the light this morning Feb 13 and counted thirty -nine robins, on singing. There was also one Saw-whet owl proclaiming before dawn. It was about 2'C rising to 14'C this afternoon. The birds were all behaving territorially.
