In the middle of a howling blizzard of snow, at approx. 1pm, I had just cleared a way to my sunflower feeder, which had been depleted in record time. I filled it and trudged back to the house, as I turned to look birds had already landed to begin to feed, and right on the deck rail was a big, fat Robin. On Feb. 3,2003, on the way home, I thought I had seen a robin fly from a fence post to a tree as I approached, but I did not report it because I also saw a bluebird with it and considering temps were in the single digits, I assumed I was hallucinating!!!
