On Sunday Feb. 16, we had a mixture of sleet and ice that ended up looking like packed snow on the street. On the afternoon of Mon. Feb. 17 I noticed a flock of about 30-40 robins gobbling up fallen berries from a cedar tree at the edge of the street. About 6 feet away from the feasting is a man-hole cover that provided a circle of melted ice for a perfectly packed circle of thirsty robins. What a time to be out of film!
