Today we continued tapping the maple trees in our sugarbush around the school. We tapped 9 trees but we have over 30 trees in all. Those that were in the sun dripped a little sap as we tapped them, but it is still too cold for the sap to be running. We have a sugar shack and an evaporator at Moharimet School. In addtion to the syrup we tap from our own sugarbush, we also take contributions from families in the community. We bottle and sell our Moharimet Maple Syrup at our annual Pancake Breakfast.
