The town of Athens is a sugar bush that has been utilized by the Athens Youth Council for over 40 years. All volunteer labor, top notch operations, wonderful maple syrup. All proceeds from sales go into youth organizations and school projects and scholarships. Trees were tapped Feb. 22, little bit of sap in the bags but it is frozen. Too cold for the run to start yet.
