Last Thursday, March 6, 2003, saw at least 100 robins in a 1 acre urban lot on my usual trip to the farm. Probably another 40 to 50 on the remainder of the trip. Isn't it odd how a wave will settle in one area?

We are still moisture sodden ground and overcast with sunshine on Friday for the first time in over two weeks. Temperature in the 60's. Pears, redbud, quince, cherries and japanese magnolias all bursting with flower and the daffodils are in full bloom on the ground.
