I visually confirmed one red-winged blackbird, but heard several more along a river where natural vegetation goes to the water's edge. My bird was about 20 feet up in a tree at least 200 feet from the water. His shoulder was not displayed emphatically as it probably will be later in the season. All the birds were giving their "okaree" song.
