Robin (First SEEN)

Date: 03/13/2003

Number: 1

Two days ago the daytime high temperature was still below freezing but yesterday the temperature started to moderate with the snow beginning to melt and puddles starting to form. There was still about 8 inches of snow on the level so spring still seemed a few weeks away but the snow continued to melt overnight. This morning, Thursday the 13th, with the temperature at +10C (about 42F) at 8:45AM as I stood on the front step talking with a neighbour 3 robins sat in my bare tree branches chucking to each other. They were there about 5 minutes before flying northward, helped by a gentle southwest breeze.(A Northern Observation Post)
