Several male woodcock heard "beeping" and doing courtship flights in the old fields behind my home. Willows beginning to look "yellow-green" as buds swell and twig coloring becomes more pronounced. Frogs have not yet started singing.
The skunk that winters under my front porch is out and active again (got our neighbor's dog last night!).... time to start soaking down his/her burrow with the hose daily to encourage him/her to move out for the warm season! We've gone through this routine several winters now! Somehow he/she never bothers my cats!
