Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

Date: 03/14/2003

Number: 1

(Being reported Sat. Mar 15) We got a report from Altus' brother that a monarch had been visiting Ascelpias curassavica in their backyard after noon yesterday (about a quarter mile across the neighborhood from us). No idea as to movement or condition. Storms moved our way from northeastern Mexico today, counter-clockwise rotation is currently showing on radar just east of Corpus Christi ... some clouds were severe ... flash flooding, hail, high winds. Another low will drop down from California tomorrow and this may all repeat late tomorrow or Monday.
