Robin (WAVE seen)

Date: 03/15/2003

Number: 1

Today was the first day without snow since November. We have had a very snowy, cold winter! We are located on Lake Ontario's southern shore and have been measuring snow by ft.(usually came 6-12 inches at a time) Today it is supposed to go up to 50 F. The sun is strong and the snow is compacting. You can easliy walk on top of it. The red-winged blackbirds are back! along with a folk of Robins. We have had Robins since February (just a pair) now there are many(at least 20 in our yard). We have a pond that we were able to keep open with a bubbler and have had many animal and birds visit. There were also a number of CedarWaxwings in the yard this AM. I'm hoping that these are the real signs and that winter is finally at an end.
