All Other Signs of Spring

Date: 03/12/2003

Number: 1

Along the bushes and grass near our stream Lubber's Run, I observed a large wave of Red-winged Blackbirds with both male and female birds present. There must have been between 60 to 100 birds sitting in the bushes, trees or on the ground. As I came close to the area they all flew up and circled around landing about 50 feet away.
