My pair of nuthatches arrived back yesterday. They always leave around christmas time, and are only gone a short time then return in March. I can imagine they don't go too far, as it's only a few weeks and it seems they are back again. If any one can tell me where they disappear to, I'd love to know! Today I heard some lovely singing outside in the yard, and there was a pair of varied thrushes out there! The male was quite bright and colourful.
