Over the years our 70ft. diameter pond has thawed regularly by March 23 +/- a few days. This year was a little different. The pond was dried up almost to the bottom. On 03/16 a warm thaw began and the several inches of snow and ice and huge snowbanks disappeared quickly with the 60+ degrees. Our pond rose 6ft. in 24 hours!
