Robin (WAVE seen)

Date: 03/19/2003

Number: 1

I saw a wave of five robins searching for worms in a warm, moist hay field to the right of my house. One flew up into a nearby tree in my yard and started singing. I think the singing was a warning because a Bluejay was aproching the same tree. The bluejay then turned around after hearing the sound and went to a bird feeder located across my yard where others birds were feeding. The robin seemed to be waiting for the Bluejay to be out of sight then, went back to the ground where its "flock" was feeding. So, now I think this wave of robins are here to stay.
