Several males were singing their cheerily-cheerily territorial song this morning from the treetops. There is still about 60% snowcover here, but it is melting quickly. The robins are feeding on berries clinging to trees and shrubs, but earthworms should soon be coming into the picture for them. Temperature about 5 deg C and the skies were cloudy at the time of observation.
