Mrs. Flores's Third Grade students at Red Rock Elem.,Bastrop ISD, have anxiously awaited the first returns of Monarchs to the Central Texas area near Austin. 18 students reported seeing Monarchs over the weekend 3-22-03. The butterflies were alone or in small groups of no more than 4. Also, the milkweed is up and blooming along with the bluebonnets.
