Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

Date: 03/24/2003

Number: 1

During birding this morning, I saw one solitary Monarch flying West through the hills and deciduous trees. This is an early sighting for us, as they usually come in droves after the Pecan leaves are already out. The Pecans have no leaves or blossoms here, as yet.

Our location is about midway between Bandera and Kerrville, west of San Antonio.
