A pair of monarchs was very active over our property all day. They emerged recently from cocoons attached directly to one of our milkweed plants. No eggs were laid as we are currently out of leaves on the milkweeds- a black locust or grasshopper of some sort with yellow markings seems to eat the milk weed as well.
