Robin (WAVE seen)

Date: 04/01/2003

Number: 1

Mrs. Lee's , Ms. Tilton's, and Ms. Smith's Second Grade Class at Cayuga Heights Elementary School in Ithaca, New York saw a fantastic wave of plump, beautiful, red breasted robins. They were all outside of a huge picture window of their school library. The robins were eating big, fat, juicy worms.
One robin was about two feet away from two students, Grace and Lena. We all got to see them up close. They looked awesome!!! Nilim observed that they were flying in and behind the trees on the playground. Gibson also noticed the robins hopping from one place to another. Jolan and Darryl noticed that their feathers were really rich in color and shiny. Rachel obeserved that when a robin pulled a worm out of the ground all the other robins tried to get to the spot to get their own worm.
It was fascinating to watch them!
