Our Tulips

156 days submerged
Before they ever emerged.
Another 17 days before the boom
When they were suddenly a bloom.

How pretty our garden grows
With tulips as red as a rose.
Who knows how long they’ll last
We’ll enjoy them as we go past.

We planted them for our community
But they’ve given us an opportunity
To discover why each season
Has it’s own important reason.

We thank the folks at Project North
For allowing the project to go forth.
You have helped us discover
That we’re each a nature lover.
